Question 1

What is PikaStat?

Accepted Answer

A PvP toolkit for Pokémon GO. Check where your Pokémon's IVs rank in every league, see what powering it up will cost in Stardust, XL candy and Elite TMs, browse the current PvPoke meta with prices, and build a search string that finds the good ones in your storage.

Question 2

Where does the data come from?

Accepted Answer

Rankings and movesets are PvPoke's (open source, MIT licence), read every day at 04:00 UTC and kept as a history, so the arrows on the meta pages show what changed since their last update. IV ranks and power-up costs are computed here from the game's own tables.

Question 3

Why use PikaStat over alternatives?

Accepted Answer

It prices the build. Every rank comes with the level, Stardust and XL it takes to get there, and the meta tables mark which moves need an Elite TM. A hundo gets a number, not a colour. And the search string never lists a Pokémon you would want to keep.

Question 4

How to use?

Accepted Answer

IV Check: pick a Pokémon, type its IVs. Search String: choose a league, paste the string into the game's search box. Every Pokémon: one page per species with the best IVs and costs. Meta: PvPoke's top 50 per league and cup, with prices. Build cost: what each species costs to build.

Question 5

Why do levels stop at 50?

Accepted Answer

Level 51 needs a Best Buddy, so ranks are calculated to 50, where any player can take a Pokémon. Where a Best Buddy changes the answer, the page says so on its own line.

Question 6

What does the rank mean?

Accepted Answer

Rank 1 of 4096 is the best possible IV spread for that league. Anything in the top 100 is genuinely good; the difference between rank 1 and rank 500 is usually a few percent of stat product.

Question 7

Found a bug or have a suggestion?

Accepted Answer

Write to hello@pikastat.com or message u/Interesting_Line_731 on Reddit. A short note with the Pokémon and the league is enough.
